We have developed Mergin Maps, which is a SaaS solution for field data collection, with more than 100 000 installations.

Open positions

Lutra Consulting Ltd. has clients around the globe, for whom it provides GIS consultancy, migration to open-source, support, training and bespoke software development. We are looking for GIS Support to help to manage day-to-day tasks heavily based around open source technologies including QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS or our product Mergin Maps. Part of the S&T role is to deliver (online) trainings, improve online documentation and deploy and support on-premises installations of Mergin Maps. We need someone who can communicate well with both Lutra's internal team and external clients and provide expertise in GIS. Moreover, it is a fully remote position that can be done from anywhere (as long as you have a decent internet connection).

Key responsibilities:

  • GIS Support for handling queries from clients with SLA
  • GIS Support for Mergin Maps users
  • Escalation of support tickets to the develpers if needed
  • Interact with Mergin Maps and QGIS community (chat, forums, conferences)
  • Improving resource centre and technical documentation materials
  • Performing trainings and workshops for QGIS and Mergin Maps
  • Manage and work on client's GIS databases
  • Do GIS consultancy for clients

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English (B2)
  • Deep knowledge of GIS, specifically QGIS
  • Good knowledge of PostgreSQL/PostGIS (deployment, maintenance, users and data management)
  • Basic software development skills in Python
  • Basic DevOps skills (Linux, Docker, ...)
  • Analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Enjoy helping and working with people

Full-time, fully remote, UK As the Head of Sales (80%), you will be responsible for establishing and leading the sales department for our SaaS product, Mergin Maps, while also driving growth across our consultancy, software development, support, and training services. This role requires a strategic leader capable of developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy, building a high-performing sales team, and optimizing revenue streams. As the COO (20%), you will support the CEO and leadership team in enhancing the operational efficiency of the company. This includes overseeing legal, financial, and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with UK business regulations, and driving continuous improvement across all areas of operations.
